Child and Teen Trauma Therapy

Kids and teens often need help to feel connected and capable after sexual violence.

The absolute most important resource for a kid after trauma is a grown-up in their corner who prioritizes their safety and feels curious about the world from their point of view. You’re on this page, which means, you are that grown-up.

As a therapist, I join you on your kid’s team, bringing specialized training in making your child’s external world safer and internal world more compassionate and courageous.

Research has identified some specific things that help people feel safer after very scary and confusing experiences.

The therapies I offer build on that research to help kids at various stages of healing from trauma. This site has a lot of information about different kinds of trauma therapy; feel free to read it and reach out with questions or ideas. But, you don’t need to know exactly what your kid needs in order for us to get started. If something resonates, reach out and we’ll work together to find the right fit for you.
